Ashburn Man Arrested for Multiple Assaults in Loudoun County

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 20-year-old Ryan D. Cunningham of Ashburn, Virginia, following reports of assaults on three adult women in the Ashburn area on Monday, December 11, 2023.

The first incident was reported around 1:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the 23000 block of Virginia Rose Place. A woman, while walking on a trail, reported being inappropriately touched by a male who passed by her.

Later, at approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to another assault report in the 42000 block of Beaver Crossing Square. Here, another female victim reported that a male followed and then inappropriately touched her before leaving the scene.

The third and final reported assault occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the 23400 block of Madison Heights Terrace. Similar to the earlier incidents, a woman reported being followed and inappropriately touched by a man while walking in the area.

Deputies successfully identified and arrested Cunningham the following day. He has been charged with Sexual Battery and is currently held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.

The incidents have raised concerns in the Ashburn community, prompting increased vigilance and a call for public awareness. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate these incidents and urges anyone with further information to come forward.
