Local Youth Faces Multiple Charges in BB Gun Incident

christian mincey20-year-old Christian Mincey of Leesburg faces serious charges after a recent disturbance involving a BB gun. The incident, which took place in the early hours of November 9, 2023, has left the community concerned.

Mincey has been charged with brandishing, two counts of property destruction, and discharging an air gun within town limits. These charges stem from a confrontation that occurred in the 800 and 900 blocks of Buttonwood Terrace NE.

Leesburg Police, after a thorough investigation, identified Mincey as a key suspect. Detectives disclosed that Mincey used a BB gun to shoot at a victim, resulting in damage to two vehicles. Fortunately, the male victim escaped unharmed. Police emphasized that this was an isolated incident involving acquaintances.

In a noteworthy contribution to the case, K-9 Elmore played a crucial role in locating and recovering the discarded BB gun in a nearby wooded area.

Mincey was arrested on the day of the incident and processed at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center before being released.
