Loudoun County to Host Major Job Fair at Claude Moore Center

As someone who has witnessed Loudoun County’s dynamic growth and evolution, it’s heartening to see opportunities like the upcoming Loudoun Job Fair. Set for Wednesday, January 24, 2024, between noon and 3:00 p.m., this event is a significant platform for job seekers in our community. The Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center, located at 46105 Loudoun Park Lane in Sterling, will play host to this important event.

Reflecting the diverse economic landscape of Loudoun County, the job fair will feature over 25 local employers. These businesses represent a wide array of sectors crucial to our local economy, including aviation/transportation, construction, education, government, health care, home health, hospitality, nonprofits, retail, security, and trades. This diverse lineup underscores the range of job opportunities available in our county, catering to full-time, part-time, and seasonal employment needs.

Interestingly, there is no registration requirement for job seekers, which makes the event highly accessible. However, attendees are advised to come prepared. This includes participating in a virtual preparatory workshop and obtaining a free copy of “Turn a Job Fair Into a Job Offer.” Professional attire and multiple copies of resumes are also recommended, ensuring that job seekers present themselves well to potential employers.

The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center, a cornerstone in our community for job assistance, is also taking steps to ensure inclusivity. They invite anyone needing special accommodations, including language assistance, to contact them at 703-777-0150, preferably with a three-day notice.

For those seeking more information about the job fair, details on participating employers and the event status can be found at loudoun.gov/jobfair. Employers interested in participating are encouraged to reach out to the Employer Services Coordinator via email.
