Witnesses Sought in Plaza Street Pedestrian Accident in Leesburg

Early this morning, a distressing incident unfolded on Plaza Street in Leesburg, VA, prompting a thorough investigation by the Leesburg Police Department’s Traffic Management Unit. Around 5:30 AM, a male pedestrian was hit by a northbound vehicle near the Leesburg Public Safety Center, located at 65 Plaza Street NE. The collision occurred as the pedestrian was crossing the street in a designated crosswalk.

Fortunately, the driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and is actively cooperating with the ongoing police inquiry.
